Right now, the 2022 Winter Olympics are being held in Beijing, China! The games are held from 4 to 20 February 2022. Countries from all over the world are participating, including Spain and the United States.
Spain
Spain is being represented by ten men and four women competing in six sports, including skiing, figure skating, and sledding. This Olympics, snowboarder Queralt Castellet and sledder Ander Mirambell were the flagbearers at the Opening Ceremony. The flagbearers represent Spain for all of the Spanish athletes.
United States
The United States sends more athletes than Spain to the Olympics. In Bejing, there are 224 American athletes competing! The US also competes in skiing, figure skating, and sledding, as well as ice hockey. This year, American snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis placed first and won a gold metal!
